Avon commissions and earnings

Understanding your Avon Commission & discount

If you joined Avon today you would receive an Unlimited earnings opportunity where you can earn as much or as little as you want. People join Avon for all types of personal reasons but ALL join for the one thing alone...To Earn Extra Money Avon's Discounts or commissions are based on your Minimum Order Value (MOV) and Higher Order Value (HOV).  This simply means that if you place an order of the MOV you will receive a 20% discount from the Customers costs.  This is your commission and you will keep that in your pocket.  If your order is of the HOV you will receive a 25% from your customers costs, and again you get to keep this commission/discount in your pocket! Representatives receive a trade discount on Avon’s recommended retail prices exclusive of VAT based on the campaign order value (exclusive of VAT) as follows:

Below MOV NIL
On or above MOV £80.00 20% approx
On or above HOV £150.00 25% approx

There really is an easy way for you to know how much you can earn with Avon

When you place an order for

  • £100.00 you will earn 20% off that order which will be an estimated £20.00 earnings
  • £200.00 you will earn 25% off that order which will be an estimated £50.00 earnings
  • £400.00 you will earn 25% off that order which will be an estimated £100.00 earnings

We say estimated because you may need to order bags *59p for a pack of 100, or demo products you would like to share with your customers or just your very own personal Avon order.

What can Avon do for you?

I have been with Avon since 2002 and I am a mum to 3 kids, it was the perfect way to be able to earn that extra bit of cash we needed to make ends meet and get out and meet new people and make new friends. Its easy to earn money with Avon, You simply divide your total sales by the total commission due to you.... Understanding your commission is as easy as 123...your Invoice will explain to you the entire payment and discount procedure, and we have Videos on our site to help you every step of the way. do you not make any commission on orders under £78.00 ???

  2. Gail says:

No unfortunately as a Representative you will not earn of orders below £78.00 but you will receive your order as a FREE delivery so long as it is over £10.00

  3. shelley says:

When I joined avon a few weeks ago, the info given to me was that you earnt 24% for MOV and 30% for HOV.

  4. Gail says:

Yes, that is including VAT, Avon are good enough to have sorted out the VAT for you and this leaves your commissions at 20% and 25%

  5. Elizabeth says:

Hi, first thank you for this information. I just joined AVON and was wondering when you say 20%/25% based on the MOV/HOV – is that based on the full order amount or after the VAT deduction.

    For example:
If the cost is £100 – do you get 20% on £100, or 20% on £80 (after VAT deduction)?

    Thanks

  6. Gail says:

    Hi Elizabeth
    Welcome to Avon
And yes, you are correct, Avon have taken into account any VAT and the 20 and 25% is based on exactly what you sell 🙂
Did you see what you will achieve when you place a £78 or £148 order with Avon on the Avon Smart Start Programme?

  8. Gail says:

Some of avon products have a set discount, you must read the invoice to find out what it is .

  9. Hannah says:

can you put avon orders in if they are under the £78.00??

  10. bella says:

is there a higher commission is 25% is the highest

  11. Gail says:

No hunny. It is 20% for £80.00 in sales or 25% for £150.00 in sales and more

  12. Gail says:

Yes, and it will get delivered to your door for FREE. You won’t get paid a commission though. By the way the MOV is now £80.00 not £78 x x

  13. Vanessa says:

I wish the commissions were a bit more higher, rather than being capped to 25%. It just don’t seem to be enough compared to the efforts you put in.

I would love it if Avon would do for example after £250 they give you 30%, and build it up. It would motivate people do more otherwise it’s just not really paying off.

  14. Gail says:

    Hi Vanessa.
I agree 100%, if Avon could put up the commissions once your start placing higher orders it would increase their sales no end!..
I have been talking to Avon about this recently, so who knows what is around the corner?

    Hi Gail

I joined Avon 2 weeks ago.
Just wanted to know if when placing an order, do I have to manually take away the 20% from the order or does Avon do that for me automatically.

    Please Help x

  18. Maya says:

    Hi,

  19. Gail says:

Just pop them into your recycle bin for paper xxx

  20. Gail says:

  23. Hannah says:

Hi, the brochure deal isn’t working for me.
It’s saying for 40 books (8 packs) that’s its £12 something when with the deal it should be only £7 something?

  24. Nadia says:

hello i would like to know how is the commission calculated, is it on your whole purchase (that is representatives discounted orders and first look orders as well) or is it only on your customers purchases(not personal purchases)..

  25. Claire says:

Hey I was wondering what the start up fees are? I have a sort of interview to set up my account on Thursday and was wondering what I will be charged x

  26. Gail says:

It si free to try Avon. But as and when you place your 1st and 2nd orders you will have an Admin fee of £7.50 come off what you earn.
So no cash outlay either x
Good luck with getting started and come back if you need any help x

  27. Gail says:

    Hi Nadia
All your Avon commission is from your sales from the brochures and the clearance magazine. Not First Look 🙂

  28. Gail says:

    Hi Hannah
I would still place the order for them and then wait for the invoice to arrive.
Avon will simply credit your account if it doesn’t do it auto.

Hi, I have just joined avon, got my meeting next week to start up everything. Quick question….Do you have to keep on buying the catalogues? and what do u do with old ones?

  30. Georgia says:

Hello I have placed my first order and have paid for it, and am wondering where and how we get our commission? Wasn’t explained very well to me so a little confused! Thank you x

  31. Gail says:

    Hi Georgia,
Avon is cash in hand so when you deliver your Avon to the correct customers and they give you the money, you pay for your order then keep the 20-25% commission. 🙂

    -Libby

  32. Gail says:

Hello, you’re provided with your first two lots of AVON brochures free from your AVON Sales Leader. Then, after that you will have to pay for your next brochures.
As for your old brochures, you could hand them down to someone on your team who are currently in that campaign or if they are really old brochures you may just recycle them.
    Hope this helps

  34. Gee says:

    Hi

How much do the catalogues cost after the first ones?

  35. kim says:

Hi, I am wanting to join avon but I am just wondering how it works with tax credits and stuff, since u get paid cash in hand do u have to pay tax on it at end of year? Or is what ever u earn yours, thanks

  36. liesl says:

Hi there I started a few weeks ago with Avon. The lead sales person is out of my area and she also lives in one of the most dangerous areas. If I need anything like brochures ect. I sometimes have to get it from her. She also drops it from time to time. The other concern is she was not very clear on when I ask her about recruiting an agent. She told me at first that I would get 4% of this new agent’s commission, then when this person joined she then told me only once I recruit 5 will I then get from each one because they my first generation. This is disappointing because this agent really wanted me to benefit from her, she is a good friend. The lead sales person now gets a commission from both of us. How unfair is that! I did not even join up with her I did this on my own via the internet. The lead sales person also has like 28 agents under her. I know that Avon really makes a lot of money they can make us all gain more here at the bottom. I don’t mind the effort and hard work but there’s got to be more credits. Avon’s turnover is in the billions. So will you please think of us little guys below. I did not see much commission of my first campaign . I sold like R765.00. that was like in a few days. I was told to at least sell for 450.00 to see my credit limit. I am married with three kids and a stay at home mom. I do not see as much people as working people in big companies. So it can be hard to get to see enough people to sell these products. Please could somebody reply to me asap. I will appreciate it! Regards Liesl from South Africa.

  37. Gail says:

    Hi there Liesl
Everything works different in the UK, but if you feel that the person that recruited you isn’t training you sufficiently please get in touch with Avon in South Africa. The reason someone else gets a commission from your sales is because Avon are a Multi Level Marketing Company and pays commissions to self employed individuals like you and I based on word of mouth recruiting and training.
I am sorry you feel this way but maybe talking to the person that recruited you would be the 1st place to go?
    Gail

  38. Gail says:

    Hello Kim
When you join Avon you will classed as Self employed.
If you are working Tax Credits you can simply let them know you will be working with Avon as Self Employed and they will let you know what you will need to declare.
    Gail x
P.S. You will be joining Team GBR won’t you, here at gailsreps.co.uk

  39. Gail says:

    Here you go lovely

  40. Gail says:

    Hi Gemma
Always accept the order then go to My orders and view my orders, there you will see the latest order placed with their details attached. if you don’t want to accept the order once you see it you can take the products off your order and email/call the customer to let them know they will have to replace the order with Avon or someone closer to them.
Avon have an app that anyone can download and they simply pop in their post code to find their nearest representative xx

  41. Gail says:

    Hi Georgia
When you collect in your money from your customers you will have more than enough to pay your Avon bill. The money left over is your earnings / commission xx
