Someone has recommended the book "Crush It" by Gary Vaynerchuk - this talks in a very non-techie way about social media and branding yourself.

As a mini synopsis type thing......of Crush it

Gary has 3 simple rules:

  • Love your family
  • Work superhard
  • Live your passion

Fairly easy non-hyped philosophies/mantras to live life to.

He then explains all of it (social media bits) and at the end provides a checklist as follows (not to the letter but a general gist) :-

1. Identify your passion - well that's a nobrainer for us all

2. Make sure you can think of at least 50 things to say about your passion that is unique/interesting - again not hard

3. Name your brand and make sure you "own" it

4. Get yourself connected up via blogging, facebook, twitter etc. etc.

5. Get out there - and start contributing to the "Online community"

6. Keep doing it and doing it and doing it

I've shortened it massively, but he takes you through step by step what you need to do and how to do it.

Tips on Advertising and Marketing

Ok, why not start popping onto this discussion and giving some of your tried and tested advertising tips and Ideas for leadership?

here are a few of mine:

1. Place an ad in the local paper to start with (small steps)

2. The ad needs to be simple and to the point

3. Linage is the cheapest and by far the best way to go

4. Always advertise in the same paper for a minimum of 4-6 wk, to get a true figure of leads generated

5. Dont be put off by others advertising in your local paper (it must be good if they do it!)

6. Always leave your name and number on the ad.

Make sure you have these in place to qualify your down line sales leaders:

1. All their paper work has gone into Avon and they have been accepted as a Trainee Sales leader

2. They place an order over the £148.00 value

3. They have a minimum of 5 team members placing orders over the value of £888.00 (this includes your own personal sales)

4. Always account for the returns they will bring your total value of sales down so make sure you account for every team members returns and your own!

5. If you are wanting to go up a level (sl to advanced) you CAN'T use performance points so remember to place a minimum order of £220.00 (required at advanced level)

Hope this helps

Gail Reynolds is the £6 Million pound mum in the UK that has recently shared her Top Tips and Ideas at Avon's national Live Your Dream event..

Gail talks about the simplicity of creating a system that works and duplicating it for others in your Network to copy and succeed.

Build a system with Gail Reynolds

  • Write a list of the things you do successfully
  • Put them into a working order on a word document or pdf file
  • Share your system with your team of Avon Representatives and Avon Sales Leaders to duplicate your efforts

Gail says; Starting a system often comes because there is an issue or a problem with others duplicating your success, if this is the case you really need to go back to basics and work through what it is you do, say and give that makes your system a success.  Then simply make it easy to follow and duplicate your efforts with everyone else on your team.

Duplicate your efforts to succeed in Network Marketing

Duplication is the key to success with any business, once you mastered that the rest is easy!..

Watching Gail's interview you will be able to take notes and begin creating ideas for your very own systems too.

Start the video with a pen and paper in your hand because this stuff is gold!!!

Have you recently built your own systems for your network marketing business?

Would you like to share your ideas and tips to help others in the industry?

HAVE YOUR SAY...

AVON - Outspoken Intense by Fergie   Gailsavon

Fergie announces second Avon fragrance launch at the
"Avon Believe World Tour" as part of 125 year celebrations
Today Fergie, six-time Grammy-award winning artist and Avon spokesperson, joined Andrea Jung, Avon Chairman and CEO, to celebrate the company's 125th Anniversary, in New York's Madison Square Garden with 5,000 Independent Avon Representatives. The event was the sixth stop of the 16-city "Avon Believe World Tour" to celebrate the company's heritage and belief in its mission to empower women. The event followed hot on the heels of the UK's celebratory event which took place just last week.
Throughout 2011, approximately 125,000 Avon Representatives will participate in the Avon Believe World Tour as it also visits Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, London, Istanbul, Chicago, Mexico City, Warsaw, Moscow, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Manila, Shanghai, New Delhi and Johannesburg.
During the New York event, Fergie previewed her new Avon fragrance, Outspoken Intense, scheduled for global launch in late summer 2011. Outspoken Intense is the second fragrance developed for Avon by Fergie; the first fragrance, Outspoken, debuted in August 2010 and was the best selling fragrance launch in Avon history.*
