When I was asked this by the BBC reporter Alex Morrison I felt a little uneasy answering it.  However, when I thought about the long hours, sleepless nights and the children's plays and school sports days I had missed I began to realise I did deserve my income.  Not only that, after 14 years ( I've been with Avon since 2002) I have had the privileged to help turn around many peoples lives.  I have been able to encourage, motivate and teach others that they can do ANYTHING they set their minds too.  Not only becoming a success in Avon, but other things in their lives too.

Since joining Avon in 2002 I have not only built a very successful business with Avon I have become an award winning author and have shared my story and knowledge with thousands of women (and men) in the UK and across the world.  I coach, mentor and train others that want to make things better for themselves and their families.  And I love that I can be a small part in their journey, and that is something money can't buy!

So, in answer to the BBC Reporters question, "Yes" I believe I deserve what I get paid.  Because with my pay comes a great responsibility, to be able to touch other peoples lives and help make their dreams become a reality like mine is invaluable.  It has taken years and years of hard work, gut determination and ignoring others that told me I would fail and it wasn't worth it, or my favourite line was.. "Why don't you get a real job?". Well, why would I want to be like the rest of the population that literally HATE their jobs, hate getting up in the mornings and are as miserable as sin?.  No thanks, I think I am happier staying in a job I love and deserve what I get paid in.  Changing other peoples lives is an amazing feeling and you certainly cannot put a price on that!

After a little recognition and a few prize draws we started to talk about the Avon Leadership Business and how we were ready to step it up a notch and take on the Video Recruiting part of the business and make it happen for everyone!

We began with sharing ideas on the new Avon Video calling.  How were we going to to recruit new Avon Representatives using all kinds of video technology?.  From that question alone we had such an electricity belt of ideas.  But it also raised more questions on how, when and where can we now fit this into our Avon Leadership business and expand our income and our group sales?  The answers were awesome.  It is all about timing.  Making sure you can still give the same quality of a Face to Face appointment without having to even leave your home!!!

Nichola even had the team doing the 60 second sales challenge, which gave us even more fantastic ideas to move our Avon Leadership businesses forward.  Talking to one another for just 60 seconds and selling the Avon Advanced Leadership business really helped us see how others sell the business and how we could use some of those techniques ourselves.  

Avon Order Management

We have been defining, shaping and changing our Avon order management system for many years.  So with all the new and exciting things we discussed during the day it was only right we ended on our brand new Steps 1 to 9 Team GBR Follow up system.  We all know the success is in the 'Follow up' so we really worked hard on crossing every T and dotting every i !

We have created the easiest Step by Step process for all our Representatives needs when they first join Avon.  Creating a duplicatable system that all our Sales Leaders can use along with their down line team of Sales Leaders was our aim.  Being able to take away their worries and ensuring a new Avon Representative gets everything they need to know in their first few weeks is crucial.  Learning the Avon business in bite size chunks is always something I wished I could have had when I first started Avon back in 2002.  So, it is a great pleasure to not only have achieved it and developed it myself, but to hear back of some of the great Leaders and Representatives that are using it.

Now we have launched the brand new Steps 1 - 9 for new Avon Representatives we are going to be working on a brand new guide for all new Avon Leaders.  We will share our combined knowledge and experience of over 27 years in Avon MLM and we will be putting together an Exclusive Team GBR ONLY 9 Steps guide to Avon Advanced Leadership.

1. Login to your Avon account and look for this image

2. Click 'MANAGE or OPEN my store' and now you simply follow the step by step instructions online to OPEN 'My Avon Store'.

3. Set a Username and profile picture.

Think carefully about your user name.  You can NOT change it once you have chosen it, so make sure it's easy to spell, relevant to you and something unique   Try to stay away from what everyone is using, like gailsbeauty, or gailsmakeupshop.... try to be more creative and put your own personality into your user name.  Failing that simply use your full name as this will be easy for others to find.

Make sure you can use the same username in your social media platforms.  Open up a new Avon Store Twitter account with the same user name.  Create a new Face Book page or group with the same user name too.  This will help people find you easily and you can promote yourself a lot faster using the same name.  Branding yourself is very important so think carefully before you open your store.

Its great if your image is of YOU and not your favourite pet or flower! Although they maybe sweet and cute they are not very professional and will NOT represent you as a serious and reliable Avon representative.

4. Set up your area.

Although with this Store you do not deliver, Avon do, you will still need to set up the "delivery area" as its an old system not yet updated. Click it, input your postcode, enlarge the map, drag your pin to your house. Now select a mileage on the bar and click save, smile and ignore it.

TopTip

Share far and wide, long distance to family and friends or strangers 😉 that you cannot normally deliver to. Avon will take their payment, Avon will deliver their order and you get paid commission into your Avon account.  You have then earn't money by sharing your store but not doing the physical delivering.   This way means you can share you link more widely, even to friends and family that live the other end of the country.  So long as the customer does live in England & Northern Ireland Avon will deliver it and pay you.

With that Link (like ours is www.gailsreps.co.uk/buy-avon-online) you're up and running it's time to start promoting and sharing your Online Store by copy and pasting.  Let's start with Face Book, this is one of the largest social media platforms in the world with over a Billion users! You can read our blog on how to open your Facebook profile, pages and groups  and even venture into opening an eBay store too.

Whatever you decide to do, just know that taking ACTION is the key to your success online with your Avon store.

Join Buying and selling groups on Facebook and share your online store with as many people as you can think of.  Send out emails to your friends and family with your online store link, and create a mailing list for all your regular customers too.  Sending regular Avon customers your link to your store will create impulse buying too, and it's a great reminder of the little things they may have missed since they last saw a brochure.

Great news Avon have made some improvements on our returns system. The changes will be made to help support Representatives with their returns.

How to return, credit and replace your unwanted Avon products

For a simple step by step guide to placing your credits on line, here is a video for you to watch

Here are the facts

Firstly, Avon have introduced a new smaller returns bag products code 90480 . The new bag means that small items like lipsticks and foundations can be returned without having to use a large bag. This will be returns bag that is sent automatically when requesting a credit. Representatives will also still have the option to order the larger bag for free with product code 90472.

Avon have added a 'Number of bags' box onto the bags. The small box means that Representatives will be able to write how many bags that they're sending back to Avon. This is so that Avon will be able to track all of the returns together. Eg. 1 of 3 for three bags being returned, or 1 of 1 for just one bag being returned.

Avon Representatives can take a look on My Learning Zone for Returns guides which are included in the pitstop called ‘The Avon Returns Process' or if you are an established Representative (LOA6+) you'll be able to see them in your 'New Representative' bus stop.

6 Steps to your Avon returns process

1. Make sure that you've printed off or completed a returns form for each bag. If using the online form, you'll need to mark which items are included in each bag. If using a paper returns form, list the items being returned for that bag.
2. You'll also need to add on the returns form; the bar code and how many bags you're returning.
3. If you're returning an item that was substituted, make sure that you write what the substitute was on the returns form.
4. Fill in the new ‘Number of bags' box on the bag.
5. Seal the bag correctly - this should not be folded down the bag to make smaller, instead fold to the section at the top.
6. Don't forget that the carriers don't check the contents on the bags so this is down to you to check, make sure you have filled all parts in correctly.
