The Live your dream event 2012 was something quite spectacular.  But what would you expect form the number 1 direct selling company in the world?

Fifty shades of Avon

With fifty shades of grey on most women's minds, Avon the company for women did not let us down with their fifty shades of Avon. From, product launches to Alesha Dixon and Peter Andre and from the Rising stars incentives to the brand new training academy.  The 2 days were also packed with energy, excitement, networking and thrown in the mix was inspiration from our guest speaker Richard McCann.

The marketing and sales team were just blowing us away with Avon's 4th quarter package, including products like "The Christmas story telling Teddy" along with the brand new and exclusive to Avon "Strictly come dancing perfume"  .  Along with the strictly come dancing perfumes and Anew AF33, Avon have given us Prospecting cards to help promote the products in each campaign along with the great Avon earnings opportunity too.  All Avon Sales Leaders will have these available to them from their ASM's and Avon will be sending them out in the sales leaders deliveries the campaign before the product is launched.

But this was only a small part of the 2 day extravaganza.   The Gala dinner is always pretty special when it comes to the live your dream events.

The Avon Gala dinner was everything you could imagine and more.  Beautifully decorated with attendance gifts at each seat.  The Avon men had the FCUK watches and the women had the gorgeous new 3 pieces jewellery set.  The tables were set with name tags and we were all seated with our teams at our request.  The night began with recognition and awards, and then we tucked into our 3 course dinner, and of course my favourite part of the dinner was desert!....

Once desert was over the real party began!....We had Alesha Dixon live on stage entertaining, singing and dancing.  Alesha even found time to come back the next day to sit and chat with our lovey Sales and marketing guys about the new "Ruby" lipstick and Christmas brochures and products.  But the gal dinner entertainment was simply spectacular with Alesha singing scandalous and Knock down along with a few more fabulous hits!

Alesha did not disappoint the Avon sales leaders in the audience, getting the "Avon men" up to shake their thing, followed by the lovely women of Avon too.

We had Recognition and Awards, cars and holidays given away over the 2 days of this event too.

For the 1st time in 8 years for Live Your Dream events Avon decided to bring the Avon sales leaders and managers together.  Personally I think we should have done this a long time ago.  Once again the atmosphere was electric and the room was a buzz of excitement.  Recognition and awards were given to Sales leaders and managers that were nominated for playing a supportive role with their managers and sales leaders in and out of area.

My Favorite part of the afternoon was when a famous singing coach came in the room to teach us all how to sing "work" together!

With a live appearance from our "Face of Avon" Alesha Dixon, the entire atmosphere and room were lit up when she arrived on the stage at this years Live Your Dream event.

Alesha Dixon was just exceptional live on stage at Avon's Live Your Dream Event 2012.  With live performances including Scandalous and Knock Down the Sales leaders in the audience were screaming out for more!

But the fun had only just begun with Alesha.  She decided she was a little lonely on stage by herself so she invited 6 Avon men onto the stage.....

6 Avon men I said....Well, it ended up with more like 60 Avon men...And Women....Take a look at what happened....

I hope you agree the Avon LYD event was pretty amazing, not only because of our Guest Alesha but because of all the Recognition and Rewards that avon present on the day too.

Top prize achievers Gail and Brian Reynolds walked away with £2250.00 worth of Love to Shop vouchers, and boy did they shop!

Toys R Us super market sweep

We started at Toys R Us because Rosie was afraid we might spend all the money before we got around to her choice of shops!

The choices for her were just overwhelming, I mean what should she choose; princesses, Moshi monsters or even a foot massage machine for kids!...Well, she chose them ALL!!!!

After an hour and a half in the shop we finally got to the check-out and bagged up all of Rosies "Going for Gold" gifts care of Avon's Going for gold incentive.  I must admit this was one of the most fun things I have done with my family that was the result of winning an Avon incentive.

I mean I could have paid some money off our holiday bill with the vouchers, or gone school wear shopping, but I thought what the heck.  You only live once and I do this business for golden times like these with my family, so let's shop some more!

The next shop stop was comet where Brian and I got to come away with some lovely electrical items we had our eyes on for a while!  I got myself the 2012 Camcorder with a super big memory card.  And libby had her eye on some cool earphones for her iPod.  Brian came away with the prize of the day though with his Bose surround sound system for his computer.

And, as only girls can, we managed to have some money left over to do some On-line shopping too 🙂

The home-wear department

We couldn't have a shopping spree without buying something practical for the home so  we pushed and forced ourselves to update our microwave and I needed somewhere to store all my Avon make up and accessories, so I bought myself a shelf unit....

It will be safe to conclude that our achievement with Avon and becoming the TOP Senior in the UK achieving the Going for Gold Incentive gave the Reynolds family a day never to foget.

Going Live at Avon's Live Your Dream Event 2012

August the 14th and 15th 2012 was probably one of the best events Avon have ever held.  The 14th of August was also my birthday and it proved to be one that will stay with me forever!

The event started with coffee and networking and then a 2 course dinner for all 900 of us!

By 1pm we were all ready to join Avon in the Gala Room for recognition, training and some fun.

Avon's Top 20 Executive and Senior Executive Sales Leaders Trip to ROME

This was a nail biting moment for everyone in the room that was Executive level and above.  It is the most sought after accolade and incentive amongst the elite of Avon Sales Leaders.  It is always a nail biting experience to see who made it and who didn't and you cant imagine how it felt to have been the 20th name called out on the list!

That's me and Brian in the middle!  We are 1 of only 3 Sales Leaders that have ever achieved the Top 20 Trip every single year since it began 7 years ago.  And we are very proud to have achieved it once again.  Here is the award that is now sitting along side our other 6 in the awards cabinet.

Avon recognition is always "Top Notch" and this years event didn't disappoint anyone.

It started with the TOP 40 Sales leaders in the UK for the Going for Gold Incentive.

Summer holidays with Avon

As always the summer holidays can slow down everyone that buys from Avon, sells from Avon or recruits into Avon.

But that certainly didn't stop our latest achiever in Team GBR, Rebecca Adams.

In Rebecca's first 3 weeks with Avon and team GBR she recruited 9 people into Avon which meant that Rebecca achieved All her bonuses and Avon commissions.

But this wasn't all, Rebecca also managed to have a 100% activity rate in her 1st Avon campaign as a Sales leader too, so we would like to congratulate Rebecca on here fantastic achievements so far.

Lunch Discussion for European Direct Selling Association and MEP Barbara Matera

Gail Reynolds is the Guest Speaker for Female Entrepreneurship at the European Parliament with Seldia the European DSA

On July the 11th my sons 22nd birthday I hopped on board a train from Weymouth to Woking (London)

It was going to be my 1st international Public Speaking invitation and I was so excited. Not because it was going to be an amazing experience but because I had been invited to speak for ALL the entrepreneurial women with in the Direct Selling Industry throughout Europe. I was very honored to be representing such an inspirational group of women.  On arrival at the Brussels Airport (2 hours late) due the to Great British Weather, my personal driver was there to pick me up and take me to my hotel.

11pm and I was finally in The Chelton Hotel Brussels.  Tired, and apprehensive but extremely excited about my speech for the European Parliament for the next day.

After a couple of hours in the morning I was ready for my guest appearance as a Woman Entrepreneur in the Direct selling industry.  I was met by a lovely lady that walked me to the European Parliament

Inside was the hustle and bustle of the members of parliament that were getting ready to enter the room for the Lunch time discussion.  I checked in and made my way through the security checks.  Even this part of my journey was exciting and new to me so I made sure I remembered every minute!

Remember I am just an Avon lady from the UK, that joined Avon and the Direct Selling Industry to "Meet new people" because I was new to the town of Hastings!

So, I am in the room and there are so many important MEP's, journalists, and other women entrepreneurs that I started to feel a little nervous.  Who wouldn't!?

The £6 Million pound Avon lady, Woman Entrepreneur and Author

It sounds funny to hear someone introduce me as an Entrepreneur, I am a simple house wife and mum that needed something different.  I needed to change the way my life was going at the time and I was desperate to meet new people and make new friends.  This was the beginning of my speech....

Way back when I was just 15 years old I left school with no qualifications and began working a twilight shift in a local factory with my nan, mom and 3 auntie's..

Aged 18 I was a mum

Aged 23 I found myself in an Abusive relationship

Aged 25 I was a single parent again, to 2 kids, from 2 different dads, living on a council estate, living off benefits, no education, no job no prospects no confidence and no self esteem.  I was worthless.

In 2002 Avon and Direct Selling Changed my life forever

Sharing my story and my struggles as a single parent and the fact that I was pretty much written of by society, is such an honor for me.  I just want to share my journey and success with other women world wide that "Think they can't, do it, but they actually can".

I love Public speaking and I love to be given the opportunity to help touch and change someones life.  My book "Mum's the word" is a short story that talks you through what life was like in the beginning to the point I realised I had become a success through simply being ME! A mum, wife and woman that wanted more from life.
